The North American Restoration Dry Cleaners (LLC) is an elite group of independent fabric restoration professionals doing business throughout North America. What’s different about "N.A.R.D." is this: we are not a franchise. We are associated members of a Limited Liability Corporation with a focus on sharing Best Practices in Customer Service, Management, Marketing and Business Practices. Members do not compete within a marketplace because the selected member is a market leader known to have a passion to provide the highest level of fabric restoration dry cleaning services.

COLLABORATIVE MARKETING EFFORT

NARD members pool their collective industry contacts and influence throughout North America to forge alliances with insurance companies. We endeavor to include our members into all fabric restoration pilot programs known in the industry. NARD members also share promotional ideas and programs that have proven to be highly effective in building market share in each individual market.

BUSINESS MODEL

Building up a big war chest is one way to do business but N.A.R.D. members participate in a project funding model. Members are asked for a modest contribution to the operations fund at various times to enable co-marketing activities, such as quarterly information-focused newsletters that can be customized by market. These materials are utilized by each member to highlight their N.A.R.D. professional industry membership. Each member is then responsible for their portion of the expense.

TRAINING PROJECTS

N.A.R.D. is evaluating and developing components of a Continuing Education training program for adjustors and other insurance professionals, plus training for plant-level employees. We expect to begin to roll out beta tests by the middle of 2007. We anticipate the education programs will be both paper and/or video based along with paper-based documentation. These programs will be a quality-focused asset.

MEASUREMENT AND MANAGEMENT

As a member of N.A.R.D., you are invited to become a member of the N.A.R.D. management group, an affiliated organization of like-minded professionals who gather quarterly to share market insights, business acumen, and business strategies. Because the member markets are noncompetitive, the knowledge gained can be invaluable.
